BUSINESS OBJECTS EXPANDS RELATIONSHIP WITH PEOPLESOFT

PeopleSoft Obtains Rights to Resell Business Objects Business Intelligence Software for use with the PeopleSoft EPM Suite

SAN JOSE, Calif. - April 23, 2003 -Business Objects (Nasdaq: BOBJ), a leading provider of enterprise business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced that PeopleSoft, Inc. (Nasdaq: PSFT) has signed a Value-Added Reseller agreement with Business Objects. The new agreement allows PeopleSoft to resell WebIntelligence®, the web-based query, reporting, and analysis solution from Business Objects, for use with PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), a suite of applications that provide organizations with real-time visibility into critical business processes.

The key to successfully managing enterprise performance is to align the organization with common goals, manage metrics, and ultimately drive action. This requires analytics and methodology to understand which metrics are important and how they should be measured. Implementing PeopleSoft EPM with WebIntelligence would enhance an organization's ability to rapidly perform advanced analysis of the data that resides in the PeopleSoft Enterprise Warehouse and gain the insights necessary to improve the performance of their business.
